Autumn Winter 2021

Autumn seems to be turning into winter rather quickly despite the mild few days we are currently having.

We are extremely busy in both restaurants with unprecedented demand online, with the current demand for drivers service has been in our opinion quite poor from Just Eat,Deliveroo & Uber.

One driver alone can be covering all there companies at any one time meaning delayed delivery and cold food on occasion.

This causes frustration for us as we cook fresh to order and every meal leaves us piping hot.. We don’t see things changing anytime soon with the big three for delivery. We would like to remind everyone that the biggest savings will always be on the Kings app you pay much more using the big three delivery companies..

Other added benefit is you get 15% discount as kings app customers when you dine in our restaurants..

Supply chain costs have increased yet again and VAT increased also in October sadly means that we are having to increase our prices, the good news is, we are still very competitive compared to others and we will try and keep it that way as long as we can..

2021 looks a real challenge for the industry with the likelihood prices may continue to increase in April with the increase to the minimum wage announced this week.

Supply of fish remains low and expensive and potatoes are also higher then normal and fats and oils are also at record highs.

The last few weeks have been a struggle, with staff, with some going to pastures new and recruitment been tough with more jobs then candidates in our region. This has effected our quality of service in recent weeks, although we now have the new recruits in place and already seeing a big difference.

Abuse from customers is sadly increasing, please be mindful everyone wants their meals in the same time window more often then not..Pre order helps prevent the waiting time, so if possible please telephone your order or click and collect etc..

Like all small businesses we have some real challenges ahead, with all our base costs increasing, we are committed to our great customers to deliver the best quality meals at the best price we possibly can,and would like to thank everyone for the incredible support over the past few weeks..
